Joanne Koster, PLLC Greenville Psychotherapist
Joanne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board. She is a member of the Academy of Certified Social workers and has been licensed and certified in North Carolina, Ohio, and New York. She is also a Certified Clinical Supervisor through NASW-NC for LCSWA licensure.
Joanne received an M. Ed degree in Special Education/Counseling from the American International College, Springfield, MA and an MSW degree from the State University of New York, Albany, N.Y. She has been a practicing psychotherapist for over 30 years.
She is a member of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, EMDR International Association, National Association of Social Workers, American Association of Christian Counselors, National Guild of Hypnotists and the Clinical Social Work Association.
Joanne is a nationally certified EMDR Clinician through EMDRIA. Joanne is also a Consulting Hypnotist certified through NGH and is certified in Hypnosis for Chronic Pain. She provides individualized treatment for issues of chronic and life-limiting illness, grief and loss, abuse, depression, anxiety and issues of performance in daily life.
Joanne’s approach to psychotherapy is as individualized as the person. However, she draws on Ecological Systems, Cognitive Behavioral, Transactional Analysis, Re-decision, EMDR and Hypnotherapy to guide and design collaborative treatment with the individual.
